Jenesha Penn 2003 International Sweetheart CandidateJenesha Penn represents Theta Nu as International Sweetheart Finalist

The Theta Nu Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Alma College is proud to announce that its 2003 Sweetheart Jenesha Penn, class of 2003, has been selected from 220 Chapters as one of three finalists for the Sigma Chi International Sweetheart.

In addition to her dazzling smile, Penn has lent her support at Theta Nu's smokers, Derby Days events and run-outs. Her many letters to the chapter prove both inspirational and beautiful.

Graduating in April with a B.A. in English and sociology, Jenesha is member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority. She has donated her services to Students Offering Services, the American Red Cross and Amnesty International. Her poetry has also appeared in "The Pine River Anthology" and "offKILTer Review."

Finalists are chosen on the basis of campus and Sigma Chi activity, general achievements, community service, academic performance, character, personality and public speaking abilities.

Serving as the Sigma Chi Fraternity International Sweetheart provides a unique and fulfilling opportunity for a woman student to visit many campuses throughout North America, to meet hundreds of undergraduates and alumni, to participate in enjoyable and educational events, and to contribute to and enjoy positive experiences that provide educational and personal growth.

Jenesha has been invited to attend the 2003 Grand Chapter in Orlando, Fla., which shall take place from June 25-28. The new International Sweetheart will be selected by a vote of the undergraduate chapter delegates during a special session of Grand Chapter. The official crowning will occur at the Grand Chapter Sweetheart Ball.
