Officers gain insight into new positions

Four members of The Alma College Theta Nu chapter of Sigma Chi recently attended the annual Leadership Training Workshop (LTW) at Murray State University in Murray, KY., August 1-4, 2002.
Much was learned at workshop this year. Brother Leahy attended the Consul program of the workshop while Brother Crawford focused on Pro Consul duties, Brother Phillips learned how to build a stronger pledge program and Brother Zuziak learned many new tools to help run a more effective Recruitment Program.

At the workshop, Brother Matthew vandenBerg (01) was awarded the Province Balfour award. Academic achievements, Fraternity and campus leadership, and character were the criteria on which each candidate was judged. The chapter received a plaque to display in the chapter house.
The four delegates had the chance to meet Sigma Chi’s twin International Sweethearts Kim and Mary Kay Howard recent graduates of Vanderbilt University.
Many new contacts were made with fellow Sigma Chi undergraduates as well as Sigma Chi alumni that were in attendance. Goals were set and plans were made to help Theta Nu focus and prosper in the upcoming academic year.
