Our Patroness Members and Friends of the Arts

Dr. Gwyneth Beagley

Gwyneth was initiated on April 2, 2000 as a Friend of the Arts.  She is an Associate Professor in Alma College's Psychology Department and serves as our advisor.

 

Dr. Walter Beagley

Walter was initiated on April 2, 2000 as a Friend of the Arts.  He is the chair of Alma College's Psychology Department and supports Theta Eta whenever possible.

Dr. Carol Bender
Carol was initiated as Theta Eta's very first Patroness on March 30, 1996, the day of our installation! She is the chair of the English Department at Alma College. She plays the flute and piano and enjoys listening to all types of music. Carol enjoys teaching and traveling. Her advice to sisters is, "Cherish your dreams and work hard to make them reality."

Ms. Jan Caputo

Jan was initiated as a Patroness member on April 2, 2000.  She plays the violin in the Alma Symphony Orchestra in addition to the local Quartet Con Spirito.

Mrs. Kathy Hill
Kathy was initiated as Patroness with Epsilon class in the winter of 1998. She is the secretary of the Music Department at Alma College and enjoys listening to all types of music. Kathy is full of endless patience and enthusiasm. She supports Theta Eta in every way she possibly can and is full of excitement for the possibilities of the chapter.

Dr. Will Nichols
Doc is Theta Eta's first Friend of the Arts. He was initiated in November 1998. Doc is the Secrest Professor of the Performing Arts at Alma College. He is the director of the Alma College Choir and the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs and also advises many of the college's music majors. In addition, Doc is well-known throughout Michigan and the world as an accomplished baritone soloist.

Mr. Tony Patterson

Tony was initiated as a Friend of the Arts on April 1, 2001.  He is an alumnus member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  He is an accompanist for the Alma College Choir and the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs as well as an accomplished pianist.
